MARIO is an infamous creepypasta/ARG rom hack that was discovered in 2010 by SMW central user "Adam" detailing his experience with the rom hack in the creepypasta-esc thread.The rom hack features edited levels to be completely brank and message boxes that appear to be strange and unsettling but what it's most infamous for is the hidden image dubbed as "Victim#1" which is encoded in a text file that comes with the rom.

What's less known is that there's mutiple rom hacks although several of the rom hacks links are down

After the youtuber"Hey Peter" revisted the rom hack and bringing it back into the public view,the rom hack's creator came forward in the comments with proof of him being the creator.Most notablely that the rom hack was never intended to be solved as it was made for fun by him and he simply made it up along the way without a clear goal in mine until he got bored of it all together hence why the rom hack is incomplete

The image was found out to be an heavly edited and saturated image of a Dir en grey cosplayer
